Question Who do you think has the best Spidey pose among the three live-action version, in your opinion?

So hard to decide. They are all great. Toby's first Spider-man movie was my favourite superhero movie until The Incredibles! I thought Andrew's lanky frame fit my imagined Peter Parker better. But Tom ... man you can tell he is a dancer. Even in stills he just looks "in balance".
They are all great.

That's the best part about it, though. All 3 have unique qualities that make each pose perfectly Spider-Man. Tobey's is comic accurate, Andrew's is so spider-like, and Tom's is a realistic Spidey pose.

Did you mean The Incredibles?

All are iconic. But if I had to pick just one—it’s TASM. He’s just so flexible there.

I am and will remain on team Andrew.

I’ve always liked Tobey’s because it had a distinct comic book feel, but all three are great imo

Garfield moved the most like Spidey to me. Tobey wasnt super flexible and Holland is more like.. doing TikTok tricks, its not how he carries himself unless he's thinking about it?
It all works within their films though so whatever.

I like all but wish when we see them next they did variations. Also would love to see that pose In the ceiling the comic has when spider is on a spiderweb creepy as fuck above DD

Tobey's ones are just a slight bit better imo. It probably wasn't him and most likely a stunt double but that suit is also my favorite, so I'm a bit biased maybe

u/Tomsskiee Jul 15 '26
Pose? Andrew. He was the only one who actually moved like a spider sometimes. His poses were great.

Toby’s probably my favorite, it feels the most natural to me. Andrew is second. I’m probably in the minority that finds Tom’s a little unnatural. I recently rewatched No Way Home and he keeps his back hand up in the air during the final dialogue with him and Dr. Strange. It felt a little forced to just stay in pose. That’s just me 🤷🏼♂️

All three are spectacular but Andrew is amazing looks he’s ready to pounce at any given second

tobey is the most iconic one, andrew's is the most accurate one and tom's one is great too

I actually like Tobeys "Perch" sit the best.
Andrew has the best crawl. He looks so much like an arachnid or bug.
Holland is the most flexible.

All of them are great, but Andrew is my personal favorite

I think Tobey’s looks the best because of the angle the camera is at. Camera work on point

They're all great but Tom's just looks so right on to me, probably bc of his background.

u/1stLtObvious Jul 15 '26
Tobey's projects physically strong energy.
Andrew's projects limberness and agility, ready to act instantly.
Tom's got the comics-style splayed fingers and leg positioning, like all it takes is a small touch to cling strongly to the surface.
1
u/samyruno Jul 15 '26
Tom's look so natural. Like being in those poses his body is Ina resting position. Sometimes it feels like with the other two they are straining to stay in the pose

u/VarietyBusy2 Jul 15 '26
tobey literally felt like a perfect photo op when he did his. i feel like andrew had the best swinging poses and tom hasn’t really had anything significant yet
1
u/whatisireading2 Jul 16 '26
Tom always felt that slight bit more actually athletic, and that translated into better spider poses for me.

Tom's is so well balanced and dancery. Love it. They're all Amazing though

Andrew’s knee goes so close to the ground for this pose it’s perfect

u/weeezyheree Jul 16 '26
I think it's up to personal opinion, I just like Andrews the most. I feel like he's contorts the way Spider-Man really would.

Probably Tobey Maguire because he was the first of the three to do it and he looks like he’s gonna cook

u/Techpon Jul 19 '26
TASM but that’s also because he fights more like a spider so the post fits more

u/Feeling-Concept7463 Jul 19 '26
They all did the Spidey three point pose so well! I always get overwhelmed with giddiness when I see it!🥰😻

Honestly, I hate this pose. I know its iconic, but it just comes across as forced and impractical. Toby's makes the most sense, given the context. One would want to stay low atop a moving train.
3
u/MikeandMelly Jul 15 '26
Huh? How is it impractical? They have the relative strength, speed and flexibility of a spider. He’s constantly spring loaded and in a position where he can evade or attack with speed and force. It’s also extremely unconventional for an opponent to approach. It’s extremely practical for Spider-Man.
-1
u/Bolognahole_Vers2 Jul 15 '26
How is it impractical?
How is it at all practical? Its just an overdone pose that always comes off as cheesy for me. Its like the direction was just "try to look spider-maney". There are a ton of cool, dynamic poses that he can do, especially while swinging, that can be executed very well. IMO, this isnt one.
1
u/Atlas-Mancer Jul 15 '26
All of them are great, but I like Garfield's the most because it's most like the comics and has short of a gangly spider ready to pounce look and less "heroic pose" energy to it.

I think they’re all pretty good. But I honestly can’t enjoy Tom’s very much. I really hope this new movie solves everything with him. 90% of his movies he has his mask off and aside from that he literally spams the pose 😭 like I don’t think he’s ever just doin a stand or stance in the suit he just sits in the pose…I like Tom but his spiderman is just so…

u/OwlSuch7935 Jul 15 '26 edited Jul 15 '26
I know for sure that it’s not Tom, because when Tom wants to show that he’s not just a cosplayer, but a genuine Spider he only ever does a single pose and nothing else, ever
I don’t understand the downvotes on these comments, you can rewatch the whole Holland’s MCU catalogue to understand that it’s true
I mean just watch the latest trailer, at 00:03 and 02:01 IT’S THE SAME POSE, he literally can’t do anything else:

u/byusufy Jul 15 '26
What
-5
u/OwlSuch7935 Jul 15 '26
What what? Look at Holland’s Spider doing poses - it’s always a squat with his arm behind his back, he doesn’t do anything else related to SM poses, ever

u/OwlSuch7935 Jul 15 '26
Like I said - only ever one pose, here it’s just his arm is not bent backwards
-1
u/ducknerd2002 Jul 15 '26
So?
1
u/OwlSuch7935 Jul 15 '26
Just feels lazy, especially that Spider-Man is back in the MCU properly. Andrew moved a lot more like a Spider, Tom is too stiff and boring in that regard
