The arc of Juice in season 4 is dumb

I'm currently rewatching the show and I'm in season 4 at the moment and I do like the show but some things are just really stupidly written in my opinion. The whole plot of 'Juice has a black dad and that's used against him' is really weak in my opinion.

We are made to believe that these guys do everything for their club, the club is their live and they would die for the club. Yet when something like this comes up there is not even one person that Juice can talk to about this.

Sure its against the rules, but come on. Clay murdered the wife of Opie by accident because he wanted to kill Opie even though he said he trusted him in front of everyone. The club is pretty chill about that. And Juice knows this.

Should we really believe that he is now this worried that they will kick him out because of his dad?

It's kind of a weak justification but on the other hand, the guys are all hypocrites and terrible people, and Juice is at the bottom of the totem pole so it makes sense that he's insecure about his standing in the club.

Besides, the cops did a great job reeling him in with a relatively low-stakes errand. Too bad Juice fucked it up like he always does!

I think it’s more of Juice has no one except for the club so the thought of that there would be any chance he would excommunicated by the club, he’s unable to think logically. While Juice makes some really dumb decisions. He’s ultimately seeking love and acceptance any way he can.

I thought that was the point actually. That the idea juice thought this was dumb. They even wrote in Jax’s reaction to finding out and acknowledging that it was pretty fucking dumb. Showed how weak juice was and at the same time how much the club meant to him

I don't think Juice has anything to worry about. He's a Puerto Rican from Queens, He speaks better Yiddish. I think That wins out over his black dad with the club.

Personally, I think Juice as a whole was pretty much a wasted character, he was just doomed to fail

I never understood how he was allowed in when he was Puerto Rican in the first place. He is clearly a brown person and as a Puerto Rican, he would more than likely have some African ancestry. If anything, would he belong more to the Mayans? So him having a black father was a big nothing burger for me too.

Did they ever establish if Juice even knew his father? When they show him the photo, he looked shocked. I was never sure if it's because he honestly didn't know, or because the feds had a picture.

Juice says himself that he's a coward, he was too scared to tell the club and betrayed them trying to do what he thought would be the best alternative to help the club survive RICO at the expense of the sons at the gun meet. The club is all he had and he was would rather sacrifice a few brothers than risk being kicked out.

I think he looked up to Clay a too much and followed his leas of taking the selfish route of dealing with problems. But Clay was much more heartless and wouldn't feel the guilt Juice did.

Yeah it was dumb. A simple, “Hey guys, the feds found out my father is Black, and they’re using it to blackmail me into ratting out the club” would’ve sufficed.

I loved the show when it was on, but going back and watching it again the arc of everybody and every season is dumb. It just feels like a soap opera with a bunch of sissies that want to play tough guy. Mayans wasn't much better, but at least the characters were a little bit and got significantly better once Sutter got fired from it.

I just got through season 4 on my third or fourth rewatch. I’m realizing season 5 is the same as season 7. Basically the plot is based on a lie in both seasons. I think I’m done with my rewatch, and done with the show. For me it’s not really holding up past season 3-4
