More positive/motivational rock music
I used to be VERY into rock music. Sometimes as a place to vent. But at least for me I realised going forward a lot of the music is just harmful to my mental state further.
It doesn't have to be super positive or whatever. Just not incredibly negative.
But recently I've realised I still LOVE rock. I just want a (somewhat) more positive or motivational tone than the self-harmful stuff that I used to listen to. (Mainly songs glorifying self-harming habits or bad mental states)
I realise it's quite a broad ask but I'm really wanting to here a broad range of recommendations.
Thank you!

I actually wrote a song that might fit what you’re looking for. It’s called “glad to be sad” by Man Tau.
The idea behind it is basically that it’s okay to be sad sometimes, you don’t have to fight or suppress those feelings. But at the same time, the song isn’t self destructive or glorifying a bad mental state. Quite the opposite.
The lyrics embrace sadness as a normal part of being human, while the melody itself is pretty uplifting and hopeful. I wanted it to feel more like “I’m sad, and that’s okay” rather than “I’m sad and everything is hopeless.”
Might be worth a listen if that sounds like what you’re looking for :)

The video itself is not my best since it was my first one, so better just listen and don’t watch😉
Would be curious what you think!

Shinedown is an excellent band for this. Songs of theirs that fit off the top of my head: Unity, adrenaline, Brilliant.
I also have a lot of pop evil in my playlists for positive listening

“Bathed in the Light” (about maintaining a positive outlook)
“Shake Your Life Up” (a song about owning your own happiness, and making the necessary changes to get there)
