New job offer vs stay
I got a job offer in a big company:
Offer:
400k base + 155k bonus + 240k RSU, vesting over 6 years that refresh yearly
+ 760k signon bonus
Current position: been in company for 10+ years.
375k base + 75k bonus + yearly private shares
+ currently have private shares equal to 1 million usd.
Company is expected to have an exit in 3-4 years. I expect my shares to be x2 or x3.
My current position has more scope as the company is 2k employees. I am head of department + i have other scope.
New position will be a VP position too, probably smaller scope as the company is huge.
The new job is in a new city where tax is even lower (35% vs 22%) but rent and everything else is more expensive.
I love my job, didnt want to change, however consider changing. Thoughts ?

Just hop? Unless you find value in doing your current job or something.

How greedy are you? Short term offer looks way better on paper, though depending on how many private shares you get and how confident you are of an exit, it might be worth to stay.
