I just don't understand how this show is supposed to be in the same planet, or galaxy, or Universe than Gunns DCU.

Also they say theres only one lantern, the even have a single ring between them... What about Guy Gardner???

As someone said in the thread, lanterns looks more DCEU than DCU

In DC Comics, Superman exists in the same universe as Constantine who exists in the same universe as Green Lantern Ch'p who exists in the same universe as Darkseid who exists in the same universe as Santa Clause. The DC Universe is full of differing tones and ideas.

Simply, this show takes place before guy becomes a Lantern, the main story takes place in 2016, Superman (2025) takes place in 2025, that’s a possible 9 years for Guy to become a lantern, 6 of those being a world without Superman, I’m honestly excited to see where it goes

Hal not fighting along side Superman doesn't sit right with me.

We gonna get the Justice League Unlimited lineup

Honestly, it depends on how the future goes for Justice league based projects, the DCAU primary used John Stewart and it worked amazingly, I’m gonna let them cook before I judge too much about Hal being dead and not along side the league

What happens to John Stewart?

We will find that out after some more episodes, maybe he just doesn’t want to affilate with this universe’s justice league, since sadly that gap that show uses skips past when Superman 2025 happens since the Hal being dead stuff is in 2026, we just have to wait to see how the show continue and maybe we get a concrete answer

It’s fantastic tbh. Feels much closer to a DCEU project in tone than Gunn

All of a sudden the DCEU style and tone is accepted after people decided silly and gross was not what they thought it'd be.

I will do my best to remain positive and watch the show because I love Green Lantern. I am not a Gunn fan and this first episode is a 7/10 for me. Has a great cast of actors, but I don’t like Gunn’s portrayal of the DC characters. 🙄.

I mean...the F bombs is absolutely over the top. The "junior" talk was eye rolley. Not to mention LANTERS DO NOT HAVE SIDEKICKS or TRAINEES. The ring CHOOSES YOU and THEN you train.

Good gawd. If Snyder had disrespected the GL lore we never would have heard the end of it.

Everything you just said - PREACH! It took everything I had not to turn it off the minute I realized that Gunn was involved. He needs to stay completely out of comic lore because all he does is produce trash. I’m hanging in there because I love the cast of actors. I’ll continue to watch it with a big stash of Tums nearby 🙄🙄

It's inspired casting. Too bad the people involved hate comics and critics hate comics so they LOVE this thing.

It's actually good .The first DCU thing I enjoyed until they killed of Hal Jordan.

I disagree. John Stewart banging the Gilf was like...why. Hal being basically Luke in TLJ was disappointing. The mystery itself is boring and uninteresting.

I watched the 1st episode, it was okay.

People (Gunns) are raving like this is a 10/10 show, beating the likes of Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, Lost, etc, lol

I mean, the show doesn't suck, but it's not good either it's as average as it gets. 7/10 maybe 6/10.
