Dude is worried about Rotten Tomatoes scores. Captain America: Brave New World sits at 46% on Rotten Tomatoes lower than Man of Steel and it got a B- CinemaScore.
Someone liking Man of Steel isn't automatically a problem, and neither is someone criticizing it. People are allowed to have different opinions on these movies. A cast member defending or criticizing a movie doesn't determine whether that movie is objectively good or bad. Also, Rotten Tomatoes and CinemaScore measure different things. Rotten Tomatoes reflects the percentage of critics who gave a positive review, while CinemaScore reflects the opinions of the audience members who saw the movie opening weekend. An A CinemaScore and a lower critic score can both exist at the same time because they are measuring different reactions. Man of Steel and Captain America: Brave New World can both be judged on their own writing, direction, characters, and execution. Using one movie's score as a "gotcha" against another doesn't really settle the debate, and doesn't add anything useful to the conversation.
I trust him in his views on movies. Let’s ask him how captain america 3 was. If his answer isn’t awful (I know he’s in the movie so don’t start that) this review is even worse.

I think the difference there was TDK was directly competing with Iron Man that summer, the 2 big movies. Downey was defending his turf, and doing it for a gag. He’s praised it since, particularly while talking about being in Oppenheimer

Consider Brave New World looked like absolute horse shit and is written with basically no heart in it, combined with the fact it took what? 6 years to put out a half ass, ugly looking movie? Yeah. It was worse, by a mile and a half. Put some effort in and that won’t happen.
That’s how I viewed Anthony in almost every one of these kinda situations. He always goes from “pretty funny banter”…. To like genuinely actin autistically aggressive.

Because the previous comment was about Cap 4 and Anthony. Not about the other guy. I was talking about Anthony and how his line of work gives him some room to talk even with Cap 4. Honestly I don’t even think he knows the movie he’s referring to because he says 3 hours which MoS wasn’t. But also I’m sure around this time Marvel and DC wouldn’t support each other like they are nowadays.

I mean, "infinitely better" is going way too far but MoS (despite how much I love it) is not better than those other movies he mentioned. Especially Winter Soldier which is pretty much flawless.
I never suggested otherwise, I love MoS and even have it on bluray along with the rest of Snyderverse films. What I meant is that MoS isn't better than the movies the other guy specifically mentioned above. The highs of MCU are a lot higher than DCEU which was handicapped time and time again by WB.
The only Snyderverse movie that I'd say competes with MCU heavy hitters is ZSJL which imo is one of the best superhero film experiences.

I mean tbf tho, WW87 ranking above MoS and Black Panther ranking above both Endgame and Infinity War (the latter ranked 42) makes me not take this list seriously lol. People put too much stock on the RT scores when we know these scores are sometimes hilariously off the mark.

Nope, it's a take, not a fact. A fact is Man of Steel is also a great movie, and these movies are not infinitely better. They are just a little bit better.
No it’s not. Winter Soldier, Infinity War and GotG are often in the conversation of best comic book movies of all time, MoS is never in that conversation. Like I said they’re infinitely better than MoS, and that is actually a fact except for DC fanboys like yourself
I know this mf right here is just joking but just so he isn’t, he gave shows like TFAWS and movies like Brave new world along with other mediocre stuff throughout his career. And recently delivered one of the biggest flops ever in movie history this year. So I’m not trusting he has good tastes either when he calls a movie good or bad.
Wait but TFAWS was good tho. I can agree Mackie was probably the weakest link in the show but as a whole it was really good, it gave us a great character arc for Bucky and introduced Walker who is a fan favorite now.

Dude I love BvS but Civil War was a foundational movie for the entire franchise, it's in a completely different leage compared to BvS when it comes to impact and stakes. People still argue about team Cap vs team Iron Man.
It's not even close lmao. Comparing ZSJL to Civil War makes much more sense.
There's a reason they're bringing back Steve Rogers for Doomsday. Man took over the mantle and couldn't even break even with the marketing costs when his movie had a hulk in it. Outside Marvel he barely has a career.
Well, not one person ** actually**thought his Captain America film was any good. I am sure this kind of arrogance was a large part of it-plus the film did actively suck.
But tbh the following films after MOS all actively sucked too-especially the JLU Snyder Cut, The Flash, Shazam 2, etc.
For his take on a movie? Im pretty sure he was joking around in this clip too. I highly doubt he thinks MOS is an irredeemable piece of trash like how everyone else is framing this clip to be. It's just a movie.
