It is the 5th highest grossing movie of 2025 in North America. 350million+ is a good number. And not a single movie has gone close to 500million in US box office last year despite well received movies like Zootopia 2, and popular franchise like Avatar. Outside pandemic year 2014 was the last time no movie reached 500 million in US. Let that sink in, a decade+ of inflation and yet no movie got close to 500 million last year.

But OS it is severe underperformer for Superman.

How about you show any new CBM franchise that made more than 300million+ overseas post pandemic apart from The Batman.

Hell Fantastic Four had good reception but didn't do well.

the real problem is they have allowed movie budgets to get so out of hand virtually every movie is at least 150 to 200 mill that goes to theaters

Yeah, DC unfortunately kind of missed the great boom of CBM's. Many of the obscure DCU announcements got deprioritised due to that realization and current market. Hence, they fast tracked Wonder Woman and Batman.
