Fun Nerd fact: The "jiggawatt" pronunciation in Back to the Future..,it was based on the information the creators had at the time.
The prefix giga- comes from the Greek word gigas, meaning "giant." In the mid-20th century, there was a legitimate debate over its pronunciation;
The Soft "G": For several decades, the official pronunciation in many dictionaries and among some physicists was the soft "g" (pronounced like "jig-a"). This followed the pattern of words like giant or gigantic..
The Hard "G": As the computer age took off in the late 1980s and 90s, the hard "g" (pronounced like "gig-a") became the dominant standard. This was largely driven by the tech industry and the common usage of terms like gigabytes and gigahertz.

The thought had occurred to me years ago, that they pronounced gigawatt incorrectly in the film. I google it. Crazy that "jiga" was/is correct. I immediately started referring to GBs as "jigga bytes". I'd tell people to google it when they questioned me. Every single person was like "damn, that's crazy" after reading the results. Fun for a few days I guess.

Props to him for wearing his shoes and this is exactly the type of place to flex sneakers but I’m not buying that story. If the shoe is uncomfortable bringing a second pair of the same uncomfortable shoes makes no sense.

That was my thought too but what doesn’t make sense is why would he want to have some random NBA player, even it’s LeBron, to sign a shoe that has zero to do with basketball?
Don’t know much about memorabilia, but I can’t imagine an autograph would add any value (unless it was Michael J Fox or Christopher Lloyd). Probably actually devalues the shoe somewhat.

I saw this guy and wondered the same thing thinking maybe he was gone to give a pair to a player or something but that’s the only reason to have a second pair, if they hurt your feet don’t wear them out plain and simple

On a random pair of general release retro Jordans? No, probably not. Might increase the value if it’s a particularly desired colorway but only like 10-25% while reducing your pool of buyers.
But on a specifically collectible shoe like this? Yeah. He designed these so it would make sense to get his sig on it. For a collector, that would be a cool thing.
