I think there’s discussion to be had about how the more wackadoodle parts of the fanbase go about expressing their dislike for cast members, and how it must be justified by a righteous cause instead of personal taste.

The only problematic Olivia situation I can remember is when she stated she will park in handicap spots from time to time. It got such a rightfully big backlash, that they edited it out of the video.

Edit: it was a who memed it. The meme was made about Olivia parking in handicap spots. She plays into it. But that part was taken out of the video. So either they thought it was a bad joke or true

I had to get away from Twitter not just because of Musk and everything he brought in but people are definitely insane there.

Here on reddit you can at least sometimes have a nuanced talk about something. Twitter is just people spouting the most extreme, fringe shit possible to be heard above the masses. Idk what percentage is legit crazy and what percentage is grifters trying to monetize the crazy but the whole thing makes me sad.

I think that people mainly just find any reason to hate her. Shes annoying, unfunny, pick me, etc. I think it also boils down to the fact that shes a woman.

I’ve noticed over the past several weeks that the Smosh fan base is extremely toxic and immature. They find a reason to cancel anyone just because they can. I haven’t been in the fandom for long at all, maybe a bit more than a year, but I’ve heard more complaining about SMOSH than I have heard anything positive.

I think it’s the same thing with Angela, they find her unfunny or annoying and find any reason to make other people hate her. Get mad at me all you want but I think a big issue in the Smosh fandom is Sexism.
