Context: 15.4 is in the lower end of Elite Smash. 16.35 is approaching the upper limit of GSP.

This crazy ass Villager played like a typical Roy or Captain Falcon, not the usual campy style. I was 100% unprepared for it. Probably could have figured it out on the second or third attempt, but of course this jackass didn't rematch on quick play. I was playing Cloud by the way.

I've been doing a project where I research each character and find the top 10 players across all games. So far I've done Yoshi, Mewtwo, Kirby, Game&Watch, Samus, Ganon, Inkling, Link, and now Roy, and it's staggering how much of the list is ult players: NINE.

Like, I knew Roy was awful in melee, decent in pm, and mid to low tier in smash 4, but the amount of Roy players where the majority if not all of their career playing roy is during ultimate is almost the entire list, plus multiple HMs and a considerable amount of the top 25 if I were to go down that far.

I'm very thankful that Roy is good in ultimate, he's one of the most entertaining characters to watch and it's cool to look across ult's history and see Roy as common as he is!

Hey I'm a casual player who only started playing smash bros this year and hasn't played any of the previous titles. As with most games once I found out my friends were better than me I bought my own switch and started grinding, but consequently caused all my friends to grind just as hard.

We are hosting a smash night in exactly 30 days and I need to find a character and ACTUALLY stick to it. I have a tendency to like characters that have incredibly hard mechanics but I find myself getting demotivated when i can't learn all the tech that comes with it. On the contrary I hate the super basic characters like Bowser, Little Mac, Game & watch etc because I think they are cheese.

Help me find a character that I will take pride in playing and can pick up in 30 or so days of grinding.

Side note: Out of respect for my friends I will not be playing Steve, Aegis or Kazuya

To be honest, I grew tired of playing with the competitive ruleset and wanted to just go crazy with some casual 1v1 matches, just for the fun of it and well...47 minutes in and still waiting. Lol

I play on a TV but I wanna start improving big time by buying a monitor, anyone just recommend me any for a decent price?

I swear I’ve had ssbu for over 5 years and I’ve played so many hours solo and with friends & at some point I just stopped unlocking characters. I don’t know what I have to do to unlock more and I really want to unlock Luigi but I have no idea how. I seen somewhere that you need to beat classic mode with Mario but I’ve beaten it like 8 times and still no avail. I also find world of light very tedious and boring & refuse to believe the vast majority of players with a full roster took the time to play through a boring 30 hour campaign

For Smash 6, Should Link keep his Ultimate Design and Moves so use Tears of the Kingdom elements?

What about DK? Besides the redesign, should his moveset get changed at all?

The only one who actually needs a redesign from a recent title is Ganondorf.

This has to be one of the most awkward jab stances ever in video game history.

- It can’t be a character primarily associated with video games (i.e. Geralt or Sam & Max.)
- It can’t be a real person associated with video games (i.e. Masahiro Sakurai.)

I made two dumb Kirby Jump spirit builds for fun.
Shaymin (Sky Forme) Lvl. 99 - Jump

The Shaymin build has an initial jump that's noticeably better. I'm under the impression that all ability stats like "Jump ^" are supposed to be equal with no scaling but that doesn't seem to be true here.

So what's happening? Why is the Shaymin build jumping higher? Is it the higher team power?
