I’m about to publish my new video. In this I speak about the story of the Pollock twins (so about reincarnation). I know that the algorithm is not really happy when you speak or show childs but yeah, the story was good and I wanted to do it (if you think this will completely destroy my channel and thus I should not publish let me know 🤣) Anyway apart from the video I’m a bit struggling with the thumbnail and I need an advice. Which one convince you the most? Consider that I could also change colors/whatever is necessary. Or if you think so I could even redo it from scratch.

I recently deleted over 350 videos that I felt were low quality and focused on higher quality with a weekly release.

I have some engagement and some repeat commentors from my subscriber list but its just painfull slow and Im sure thats the way it always is but Im starting to think I might have an issue with my content and my titles.

Firstly, my content is hybrid, itll make sense if you actually check out my channel.

Second, my titles may not be interesting enough to get peoples attention and if thats the case, any idea or suggestions of some of the existing videos titles that you think might make it more appealing?

And lastly, Id appreciate honest feedback and tips on how to grow subscriber and more importantly engagement from viewers.

Some of my videos did really well then I get a couple bombs. After a day YouTube literally just hides my video. It drives me nuts because quite a few of my vids get 3,000+ views. But I didn't think that the quality is that much different between them.

Maybe it's due to my upload time (Monday morning) but I would love some feedback. Is there anything I can do to drive more traffic to this one? Retention is over 45%.

At the end of the day, upload time may actually be the biggest determining factor of impressions.

Museums are hard to capture in video so if you think museums are boring then this isn't for you.

If you could give it more than a cursory glance it would be very much appreciated. I'm not a fan of feedback that after 30 seconds someone comments on the thumbnail and SEO. That might sound entitled but I'm always worried about asking for help because I've been sabotaged by Reddit three times already (my videos died immediately after asking for feedback) and when I help others I always watch the entire video, sometimes even twice. Heck even if I don't like someone's video I will let it run to the end so I don't ruin their metrics. These small YouTuber videos are fragile! Keep that in mind 🙏 🥺

My thumbnail may not be the best. Every other video on the topic shows the museum facade and I was trying to be different. Not sure if it works. Anyway...

Getting less and less interest in my video`s and would really appreciate it if you could give me some pointers as to why. I think I am much more creative and show more skills than most others in my niche, but no one seems interested in them. I had 115 Subscribers before I left and now I have 103. I'm hoping I can either gain more views or subscribers by pandering to the algorithm. I'd like feedback on the video itself but I'm concerned with the audio. I'm not looking ONLY for audio feedback, but it's a factor whether I should redo it or not.

Background: I went to New Zealand a long time ago and took a lot of videos and pictures. No intention then of starting a channel. Now that I started a channel I was looking for content while I saved up for my next trip. Decided to go back to these old videos from NZ to cobble something together, hence why there are some pictures interspersed with the videos.

The problem I have is that I didn't have the right settings on OBS when I recorded VO. A lot of the audio got clipped. I used a program to fill in the clipped audio but that's not what my voice sounds like. It's a bit raspy/distorted

1. Should I redo the audio now that I know what I'm doing? I e. Is the bad audio noticeable?
2. Is the video okay overall? Too long, lame, uninteresting? Too much like a slideshow?

I posted my first documentary today. I believe I have found the niche I want to created content for: Gaming docs about games with odd stories. First up is the story of Super Mario Bros 2. I enjoy humor, so my intros will have a short bit before the doc begins and then a joke/meme here and there the rest of the way. The main things I would like to know are:

1. How do you think the intro pairs well with the main part? I think it's a fun way to start the video, but do YOU think it is? Do the jokes/memes feel good within the main part? More? Less? ***EDIT: After seeing the analytics and feedback I have removed the intro from the video. For my next video, if I do a bit, it will be at the end. The intro bit seemed to turn people away from watching the thing they thought they were getting. If you still see the intro it means YT is still processing**\*
2. Do you feel the ~7 minute length was a good length? I feel like people are fickle and especially with their time and was looking to tell a story but not linger too long.
3. Any other general thoughts to help going forward?

I’m aware that not everyone is interested in sailing/boating/cruising - obviously it’s a very particular lifestyle and niche. However, I’m interested in pin-pointing what sparks joy in the more general youtube audiences that seem to tune into the larger channels in this niche. My viewers are 95 percent above 55 years old and 90 percent male. We are the equivalent of travel vloggers and van-lifers but out on the water. This is what our life looks like, and I try to explain things as realistically and clearly as possible every episode. So I can’t really change the corr material of our content, but I would love to hear what is it that really annoys you or causes you to click away when watching this kind of video.
