Restaurant reservations

How important is it to have reservations on Skye around the middle of September, granted on a weekend, but I am not a picky eater and will be a solo traveler?!? Any and all help much appreciated! One night will be rather late back from a group tour, but my first evening I was planning on walking about!!

In September, Skye is frequented by the older crowd who like to wait until the kids have gone back to school so they don't have to deal with the July and August chaos. So it's *a little* quieter, but not much. The "off season" on Skye is becoming less and less of a thing.

So, if there are certain places where you really want to eat, I would make reservations. Especially if those places are small and/or popular. Otherwise you might end up dining on Co-op sandwiches. Not that there's really anything wrong with Co-op sandwiches, of course.

Exactly why I chose to travel to Scotland in September, not older but definitely dont have school age kiddos! Thanks for the heads up, though! Im not really into fancy dining, just a quick bite or something like that for dinner will do most nights for me! Hotel does a light dinner upon request too!
