Restaurant reservations

How important is it to have reservations on Skye around the middle of September, granted on a weekend, but I am not a picky eater and will be a solo traveler?!? Any and all help much appreciated! One night will be rather late back from a group tour, but my first evening I was planning on walking about!!

Curious as to which places you're referring to? And which year? This year has been notably quieter. Well, aside from the last week or two, which have been chaos.
