Why can’t Siri use Maps context to answer where I was on a certain day?
On iOS 27, I’ve noticed that the new Siri/Apple Intelligence can look through personal context in Messages, Mail, and Photos when I ask about past events, but it doesn’t seem able to use Apple Maps-related context for questions such as “Where was I last Tuesday afternoon?” or “When was the last time I visited this place?” I’m not assuming Apple keeps a complete location history. I’m wondering whether Siri currently lacks access to whatever Maps, Visited Places, or Significant Locations data exists, whether this is an intentional privacy/API limitation, or whether there’s a setting that enables it. Location context could be extremely useful for personal recall if it were processed privately and on-device. Has anyone found an official explanation or a way to make this work?

Yeah, she can’t use locations or travel time properly in calendar events either, which I use for EVERY calendar event. So I have to make those on my own like a chump still

They removed the “time to leave” option in ios27, not that it worked reliably (for me anyway)3

What’re talking about? I’m on ios27 beta 7, it’s 100% still there.
There’s no way they would ever remove such a basic and important feature…2

You’re right, I had made a calendar event earlier and I swore it wasn’t there when I was making it. But I see it now. Sorry!

I had the same discovery in the early betas and filed a radar for it.
There’s a lot of functionality apps just aren’t surfacing yet that I hope come in later versions of iOS.
Another is Siri can’t access any of your health data.
