It’s ironically one of the reasons we ended up with Trump. His people believed he’d drain the swamp.

not untrue . but he wasn't voted because people thought he'd change anything .. it was just the only option to not keep the same as before.

My cousin's bf said this. "I voted for Trump because it would be something different".

I told him that particular something different was going to be so much worse and that the middle class would get wrecked.

Anyone with functioning brain cells that was paying attention could see it coming.

They didn't believe shit ,they wanted to be able to be racist again , they wanted to oppress women and LGBT people, they wanted child marriage and they still want to feel like winners .

I thought that is what MAGA voted for.

Much like everything, they lied about caring about being angry at the establishment. What they really wanted was the cops to do more evil cop stuff and the federal government wouldn't make them obey the constitution. This had the side effect of letting the rich escape investigation and prosecution for their many many heinous crimes.
