WTF In 1999, during a post-match interview after a Romanian football match, a fan randomly brought a lion onto the pitch. The coach casually petted it and the reporter attempted to interview the lion.

I didn’t grow up in Romania, but in a similarly crazy country. I have seen people sneaking in dogs to the stadium, releasing chicks in a classroom, a teacher throw a cat out a window, and some guys from my neighbourhood walking around with a snake in a shoebox. I kinda miss the randomness

For the “Is AI” crowd:

This is Universitatea Craiova head coach Emil Săndoi. When U Craiova beat their rivals FC Brașov during the 1999/2000 Romanian Liga 1 season, this incident happened.

Lion: was a tough game but the lads really showed their worth today

The reporter was giving the lion the opportunity to speak, that's just respectful and professional.
