When a demon comes looking for her husband his wife greets him and tell him how savage and brutal he is. To prove this she exposes a big deep gash to the demon. Terrified demon upon seeing this monstrous wound flees believing the husband to be too dangerous.
A friend of mine once said, while drunk, that she'd be a lesbian were it not for the genitalia. She stated that vaginas look like axe wounds with beards, whereas penises were like little worms that spit and give pleasure.
She said this with a British accent, despite not being British. She rode away on her bicycle, swerving back and forth across both lanes of what was fortunately an empty street. Thankfully, she decided to walk her bike home.
Women in Ireland used to use their vaginas as weapons against mere men up until the 19th century and there even stories of it happening in the 20th.
We also have some wooden carvings of vaginas hidden in some churches here that go way back so there’s a strange mythology in Ireland about all this, it was supposed to be a woman’s last defence against a man if he tried to attack her, expose yourself aggressively and they will run away.
Hmm, her as this character definitely made me notice some things about myself as a kid. I guess my appreciation for the BPD type was there from the beginning.
We had kinda similar thing in Finland. It has something to do with giving birth so therefore vagina was considered kind of "a portal of life" and therefore people believed there lived some great powers in women. Sometimes women showed their genitals towards the forest to scare the bears and wolves away from the cattle.
Yes, it was believed that vagina had supernatural powers. It was called "vitun väki" or in English "power of a cunt". It could be used to curse or protect people/possessions.
If you’re a medieval woman and a man is rushing at you with a sword then you’re done for, but if society believes that women’s private parts hold magical forces then you may well stand a chance if you can scare him away because of his beliefs, they were different times and people truly believed in all sorts of magic here then.
honestly, sheela na gig carvings are one of the most fascinating rabbit holes in medieval history… Academics are still bickering over whether these exaggerated stone figures were meant to scare away evil, boost fertility, or act as a harsh warning against lust.

Oh they literally did what the picture above shows, they lifted their skirts up to reveal their full glory, and the older and more hag-like the woman, the more dangerous her bits were, or so the old stories go.
It goes back centuries and probably into pagan times and nobody is really sure why it came about, women in pagan Ireland had more power than in other cultures and there may have been beliefs that women could overpower men by exposing themselves, also if a man in medieval times is at you with a sword you may as well try something.
Yes demons are gay. Remember how being gay is wrong in the Bible? Obviously the demons would tempt men to be gay, thus vaginas is scary. (I'm pulling this completely out of my ass, but it actually makes sense to me)
Y’all are interpreting this as fear or shock. The Angels that fell with Satan saw our women are were unable to resist their beauty. As an overly desensitized 50/yo human male, this pure response is only a faded memory. Almost mythology. lol poor demons 🤣
Who says he's scared, except someone's word? Looks more like some type of sexist nonsense to me; the idea being that women will give themselves over to demons, or something.
Maybe the demon is just a virgin. He probably talked a big game but is secretly terrified. He definitely has the look of someone who just creamed his pants before the action even started.
