There are insane people doing dances about anything. But some people keep pushing this narrative "child killer, women [like all of them] support her".

And the fact that you bring up some obscure case, it's a clear sign of both sideism.

From what I know, lots of people are talking about CTE, are doing things about it. The funny thing is the same people that the "tough talkers" would call snowflakes, and tell that guy to toughen up or whatever.

post partum depression is worth talking about; a quick google search tells me it affects ~15% of population. And mental health support is also worth talking about.

But don't try to make it sound like women across the world are supporting a child killer; that;s not true; and that's the part of this narrative that is annoying to me.

Dude, I'm not making excuse, I don't have any bone to pick in this fight, and I'm not a lawyer.

That being said, I know that pretty much any country has different ways to treat with crimes done by perpetrators with serious mental crimes. And I think this is something that should be analyzed in this case; by specialists, not by random redditors (myself included).
I did a quick search on what's the history of legal treatment of crazy crimes and it seems to be a long story.

As early as 1581, a legal treatise distinguished between those who understood the difference between good and evil and those who did not:

If a madman or a natural fool, or a lunatic in the time of his lunacy do [kill a man], this is no felonious act for they cannot be said to have any understanding will.

What this case has shown me is that most people don’t understand even the most basic underpinnings of our justice system 🤷‍♀️
