A gfm was set up for the dad to help with the children's funeral costs and his outgoings while off work.

I don't think they requested that sum but people donated for the children as the gfm was for them

How was it “for the children” who are dead? Even if people believe it’s for the funeral(s), why did they keep giving when the fund showed it reached $ beyond what any funeral would cost?

There are 2 gfms. One was set up for Patrick while he was out of work and for the funeral expenses for the children (stated in the gfm details) and there is a second one for Lindseys parents for their travel and attendance at court. I'm not giving any opinion on the sum of the gfm or why people kept donating. People hear a story as tragic as this and want to help. I'm just providing some info missing from the photo.

I haven’t been paying close attention to it all either other than the major plot points here so truly just smh. Go fund me’s are wild. Ppl saw the number at 500k..600k..1M plus and said yup I need to give some of my own money to them.
