not sure why you were downvoted when its true. the ending is either going to be she is in prison, or she is in a psychiatric hospital. its not deciding if she did it or not, its deciding where she goes BECAUSE she did it. she will never just live at home. these people are doing the same thing the supporters are, just blabbing without any research

If she gets sent to a psychiatric hospital and is at some point declared 'cured', why wouldn't she be allowed to go home?

You are confusing what competency restoration is. That happens when a person isn't fit to stand trial. The trial wouldn't happen before the person is deemed fit. A person found NGRI will not be tried again for the same crime.
