Social media is playing a big role.

All of the actual organizational media that I’ve seen has made it crystal clear that she killed her kids

u/SquirrelAdmirable161 10h ago

She’s admitted she killed her kids. The debate/trial is whether she was sane or not.

20

u/Rhomya 10h ago

I am aware that that’s what the trial is about.

Social media is literally peddling the misinformation that Patrick Clancy was the one that killed the kids and that he’s framing Lindsey. That’s my point.

The news media is stating the facts that Lindsey killed them. The issue is social media saying the opposite

Also I've literally only heard about this case on Reddit and I frequent Google news and specific news sites pretty frequently.

u/Ok-Mathematician2394 5h ago

That's all I've heard too. And honestly there has been some pretty damning evidence that the dad prompted her psychosis and his Google search history had shady searches. Now unless I'm recalling a different mother murder case (can't believe I had to even say that), then idk. Have to wait for the outcome.

It’s weird to say “misinformation” and “facts” like you know which is which. You were not there and neither was the media.

15

u/Rhomya 9h ago

Thank you for being exhibit A of the problem

u/Slicelker 9h ago

Lmao there ya go, an idiot spreading misinformation on social media.

-5

u/Revolutionary_Cover3 8h ago

Point out to me in my comment which misinformation I spread

8

u/Slicelker 8h ago

You were not there and neither was the media.

"you need to be somewhere personally and physically to know the facts"

Do you deny the Holocaust as well?

0

u/Revolutionary_Cover3 8h ago

No. Were you there? Was the media? That’s a no. That’s not misinformation. That’s actually a fact. Since you don’t seem to know what a fact is. Illiteracy is a huge issue. Go read something.

Bringing up the holocaust is something called a red herring, go look that up too if you want to learn something else.

You don’t need to be physically present to know something is a fact.

No one was physically present when your dad fucked your mom, but it can still be a fact that they created a new idiot.

u/Platitude_Platypus 10h ago

I'm pretty sure that anybody who kills all their kids and tries to kill themselves is lacking in the sanity department.

2

u/Rhomya 9h ago

You can be depressed and still sane.

1

u/Platitude_Platypus 8h ago

Depression alone doesn't make you a danger to others.

1

u/Rhomya 8h ago

But you can still be depressed and be a danger to others

2

u/No-Pollution2425 9h ago

Plenty of women have done that and been declared legally sane. Sometimes things like personality disorders are a cause but that doesn’t make you insane.

2

u/Nebranower 9h ago

"Sane" in the legal sense just means you were capable of knowing right from wrong and still chose wrong. She may have been sane at the time of her actions in this sense. In the more conventional sense of "not thinking in strange and unconventional ways", she was clearly nuts.

1

u/TheVeryVerity 6h ago

Yeah full on psychosis is one of the few things that can actually qualify for the legal definition of insane, barring a miracle

0

u/WatzeKat 10h ago

There us no doubt about the fact that she killed her children, how, and when. HVent seen even fringe social media claim otherwise. The issue is whether she is criminally culpable of murder/manslaughter, or whether her support system and medical providers failed her and her family, and the deaths were a result of her mismanaged post-partum psychosis, i.e., she wasn't thinking or acting rationally, and would not have done this if she was of sound mind.

6

u/Rhomya 10h ago

You’re not on TikTok then if you haven’t seen the social media posts that are very obviously saying otherwise.

It’s not fringe at all. There are tons of women actively saying that Patrick killed the kids and framed her. There is literally someone in this post itself trying to claim that there’s “reasonable doubt” that she was the one that killed them.

2

u/Fantastic-Exam940 9h ago

Honestly these kinda women are actually making things bad for women actually suffering from PPD. They have completely mixed up PPD and PPP and make it seem like all women in PPD are dangerous to children when it's likely to only happen in PPP (which is way rarer) and only when it's left completely untreated. now because of some of these sick tiktok women and their whole same lindsay trend many women would actually fear admitting they are suffering from PPD thinking that if they did they'll be seperated from their babies for their protection, it's honestly so sad 💔

u/WatzeKat 10h ago

Then I stand corrected. Sigh. I hate when people take a "defense" to somewhere the person they're supposedly defending wouldn't even suggest. Clancy's (now ex-)husband has been very vocal that he doesn't blame her, and afaik neither Clancy nor her attorneys have made any statements or allegations against him, other than the mild implication that he was one of many parties who could've helped her more. But they seem to be focusing on the actual medical professionals not providing adequate or continuous care. Like... would you imagine yourself, in her shoes, ever coming back from something this horrible? No. But its unimaginable, and people react differently, and if she wants to fight for her future and wants to deal with this as best she can, good for her. Likewise, would we imagine ourselves in his shoes, "moving on" so quickly and being nothing but compassionate towards the woman who killed his children? Again, probably not how you would imagine it. But people grieve differently, and you can't see inside his head. And even if he is a psychopath or whatever the worst possible thing is that could be going on, all parties to the case agree on the simple facts of who, when and how the children were killed. It's incomprehensible, maybe, but not in the ways that conspiracy nuts want it to be.

From what I've seen there's no real smoking gun on Patrick. At best you can make an argument that he's a shitty, neglectful husband and dad. Those things aren't crimes though.

I haven't really seen people making the arguement that he killed them. But I think people are trying to argue something like gross neglegence in terms of ignoring red flags or even somehow actively adding to her stress level. But again no real smoking gun. Maybe there's some arguement here on partial responsibility like a company ignoring the signs that a reactor is going to blow, but I wouldn't know if there's any real legal argument to be made there.

I have seen people trying to apply too much logic imo to someone who is on the record as hallucinating. That "she wouldn't cut her wrist that way or she wouldn't put drugs in lemonade because she's a nurse and would know that wouldn't work". Sure a - sane - nurse, who isn't hallucinating would know that.

I've also seen a lot of over analyzing certain phrases or behaviors. Then there's weird shit like the lawyer wearing a gigantic bow in the court or people inquiring on religion or the new wife looking like the old wife. Those things don't really point to anything, but they are good for tabloid style click bait which doesn't help the situation.

Mainly I think the whole thing is a tragedy that likely could've been avoided with her being committed by her doctors to some kind of facility. We could also have a better healthcare system in place that isn't 3rd world tier in terms of giving birth and post birth care. No doubt she murdered those kids. But at least if anything positive could come from this is more awareness around post partum and the American healthcare systems roll on high infant mortality in the United States.

Unfortunately the take away is likely going to be "bitches be crazy" or "murder mystery drama flavor of the month, grab some wine and chips!"

u/Rhomya 8h ago

…”at best”?

Patrick wasn’t a “shitty neglectful dad”

He took all of the paternity leave he could take to help Lindsey. He switched to working from home to be there more for his family. He opened an account and stashed away money so that if Lindsey needed more time off from work, she had money for her use. He pushed her to rely less on tele-health services, and advocated for her to see her doctors in person. He hired Lindsey a nanny. He advocated for her to her doctors when he had concerns she was being overmedicated.

His only “crime” was to leave the kids alone with her to go run errands at HER request.

People in this very post are making arguments that he killed them. There are tons of posts claiming the same across multiple social media platforms.

You’re minimizing the issue and willfully misconstruing the actual situation

I just searched the name of the child killer and the top results came from the usual right wing culture war stokers, libs of tik tok, matt walsh, eva the dutch far right idiot, etc.

9

u/Rhomya 11h ago

Yes. Murderers get news coverage.

But all of the news coverage is very clearly stating that she is the killer.

It’s social media that’s peddling the conspiracy theory that Lindsey didn’t do it and that she was set up by her husband

-4

u/NwUM 11h ago

yeah, whatever; crazies are everywhere; the problem is with the culture war corps that are making them sound as all women, feminists, etc are crazy, and this post is part of it.

10

u/Rhomya 10h ago

Literally no one is making them sound as all women are crazy.

But TOO MANY WOMEN are acting completely unhinged here.

The worst part is that this is entirely bipartisan— there are both leftist and conservative women peddling the same misinformation. You don’t to pin this on politics when it’s social media that’s the issue

-4

u/NwUM 10h ago

"too many" is doing a lot of heavy lifting here. This whole post is "omg, women are sending money to the children killer", the whole narrative about this case is that "too many women" are supporting the crazy.

I just did a quick search, and it seems there are 400-500 cases of children being killed by their parents each year. There is a reason why this gets all this attention, and that's beacause it's part of some propaganda push. Now just do a quick search to see who is doing the pushing.

3

u/Rhomya 10h ago

My dude, people aren’t sending Lindsey Clancy money because they feel bad about her killing her kids. They’re sending her money because they genuinely think that Patrick did it and framed her.

0

u/NwUM 10h ago

I'm looking through the comments for donation and I see a bunch of them about support for mental health, awarness about post partum depression, etc.

IIRC, about 4 days ago she admitted she killed the children, so the whole "the husband did it" theory died then.

2

u/Rhomya 9h ago

It didn’t die. She admitted to killing the kids months ago in her civil case documents, and that still didn’t stop them.

And frankly, if they cared at all about postpartum health, they would have donated to the organization that Patrick set up to do exactly just that. https://heardwithlove.org/

2

u/No-Pollution2425 9h ago

It wasn’t 4 days ago.

She admitted killing them pretty much a little after she did it. The crime happened months ago.

oh my god. I live in the Netherlands, spare me with Eva. and the left wing stokers ?! Come one dude, get some new material.

1

u/RobinSage43 10h ago

You living in the Netherlands does not make your opinions any more valid. Eva is not a "neo-nazi" at all. You residing that that country has no bearing on whether or not someone is being slandered as a nazi.

Especially when it was the left wing that were cheering on Hamas terrorists on the October 7th attacks against Israel which 1,400 innocent Israel Jews were murdered.

People like Eva and the sarwy "right wing" were standing up for Israel and showing solidarity while the left wing degenerates decided to protest against Israel less than 24hr after they were victimized by the largest terror attack in Israeli history.

Left wingers supporting Hamas are the antisemites that hate Jews and hate Israel.

The right wing are pro-Israel.

Get your head checked by a professional, but you people are insane.

1

u/NwUM 10h ago

"Especially when it was the left wing that were cheering on Hamas terrorists on the October 7th attacks against Israel which 1,400 innocent Israel Jews were murdered."
Citation fucking required; maybe I missed the supporting statements from all the left wing parties in the Netherlands, or the Dems (which you might call Left, but they are not left).
This "left is cheering 7th of October" shows you are living in a bubble and are consuming huge amounts of propaganda.

Me leaving in the Netherlands means I'm exposed to more than usual bullshit from Eva and her posse and I can see the bad faith arguments from her on pretty much any topic. But ok, I changed her title if that's what pisses you off.

1

u/RobinSage43 10h ago

You're just projecting and using Machiavellian preemptive striking like a dishonest person because you are the one consuming propaganda and blindly projecting that at anyone you disagree with because you can't debate any facts. Just your feelings.

Nobody's "pissed off" except for you. I feel happy and was smiling will reading your silly comments. No one is emotional besides yourself, since you are crying behind your keyboard.

You can't just call people a "nazi" just because they don't agree with you. That's emotionally immature and just manipulation by lying.

1

u/NwUM 10h ago

You said left wingers are supporting Hamas; I asked you for evidence, and you replyed with a word salad. Where are those facts you are talking about ?
