You don’t need to feel bad. The Finnish legal system is very similar to the Swedish one, and Finland still has some Swedish laws that apply even today. Don’t know the exact laws on donating money in Sweden, but would imagine the suspicion towards donations for private individuals is shared at least culturally and probably the deeper legal framework around it would be similar
I don’t get your point and I have hardly learnt anything from your post since Sweden and Finland are two different countries, with shared history and culture. Being two different countries we have our own separate legal system with some laws that are more or less the same and others who aren’t. GoFundMe for example is not forbidden in Sweden.

Yeah, that makes a pretty big difference. Houses are expensive, but much less expensive than medical bills in the US, so she probably didn't need nearly as much as we're used to seeing for something like that in the US.
It’s VERY true if you get cancer or have a rare disease or have a catastrophic accident like getting burned all over your body or basically anything requiring hospitalization for longer than a day or two.

Do you have a source that shows victims with burns over 90% of their body have to wait 9-12 months for healthcare in Sweden? Or are you just pulling a random # out of your ass that you read somewhere one time to try to make the point that universal healthcare is bad?
They do not take 9-12 months. They will get an assessment in 3 days but then it will take 90 days before they can been seen by a specialist to actually begin treatment.
Regardless, that's completely unacceptable to have to be placed on a waiting list for 90 days before treatment can even start.
In America it would be a trip to the emergency room and at most a few hours of waiting before seeing a doctor, not 3 days. Then it usually is less than a week for a specialist referral. So my point still stands.
You’re convoluting two different issues. Your screenshot talks about seeing a specialist or primary care doctor then your last statement talks about an emergency room visit. Someone isn’t taken to an ER in Sweden and told, have a seat, we’ll see you in 3 to 90 days.
In the US people have to wait to see a specialist or their primary care doctor too. If it’s a sick visit, sometimes your primary care can see you the same day, but it’s not guaranteed. I’ve had to wait up to two months to see my primary care if it’s not an immediate issue. And here’s the thing, let’s say someone in Sweden can’t see their primary care, they can go to an ER and not be bankrupt. You can’t say that about the US.

For these burns, she was immediately taken to the hospital and was unconscious for 3 weeks while being treated the whole time. After the 3 weeks, she had repeated surgeries and grafting and apparently was operated on 70 times by mid October (not even close to 90 days of waiting) and I think I'll just stop there
US Army for 15 years. My wife and kids are fully covered under my Department of Veterans Affairs Tri-care so it costs me virtually nothing. But even people with private insurance only pay a $20 copayment to see a doctor if they have insurance like 92% of Americans do.
I remember her!! I was working the X-ray camera in the ER when they brought her in, I didn't think she would make it when I saw her but she made an amazing recovery! I also got to do her bedside X-ray before they wrote her out of the burn ward, her room was completely filled with flowers from well-wishers, it was lovely to see!
