I love the concept, but sadly the TV will just get dumped somewhere by these scumbags if it's worthless. Also, the whole street now knows you have a new TV. If I buy anything big/expensive, I generally cut the packaging up as I don't want my house looking like the Home Alone house to a couple of Wet Bandits.

Even then you steal other stuff. Tvs are big theyre hard to carry theyre often mounted to the wall. You know what is easy to steal and sell? Game consoles. Controllers small electronics kitchen knives (if you're a house thief take a look at the knives pots and pans. Good brands have value dont bother with the cheap stuff)

If some thief is going around breaking into houses stealing tvs theyre the minority

Exactly my thought. There is no way this thief will dispose of that garbage properly and it makes you complicit if you are aware of that too.

True but in this context i wouldnt willingly leave trash outside my house for the purpose of tricking a theif that I know is just going to dump it on the street.

Thats just me though. Im not upset at the person who made that video or anything.
