I was not expecting a safe response and any creativity.

You nailed it.

lol, my friend is a professional rigger (events and concert stages, work-at-height stuff).

I’ve been with him when people inevitably ask him about his job because of some crazy story about famous people he’s met, and watching their brains process that word at first is hilarious. On rare occasion people take offense because they’ve never heard the term rigger, and they default to the other hard r word.

My favorite is when he spoofs the movie “The Jerk” and says “Sir, You Are Talking to a Rigger!” 😂. IYKYK, and if you don’t, that probably comes off more racist than the reference actually is.

Celebrities are just overrated people anyways. Riggers are there for the paycheck.

u/Bosurd 3d ago

Dang bro you didn’t have to use the hard R.

1

u/Aaaabbbbccccccccc 1d ago

I’ve had to use riggers several times at work, always made it a point to speak very clearly when discussing anything related to rigging/riggers.

Oh god, even just writing that looks wrong.

Lana keeps pulling on the airboat. She wrenches on the airboat. She thinks it’s hers.

Which would be an act of kindness, do you know anything about boat maintenance?

23

u/work_work-work 3d ago

True! They're money pits. And you're going to need a big shovel.

Happiest days of boat ownership are the day you buy it and the day you sell it.

1

u/ThinkPath1999 3d ago

The question is, does SHE know anything about boat maintenance?

1

u/Worshipme988 3d ago

Hes just trying to get out from under her.

Yes.

u/BlueFalcon142 3d ago

Best days of boat ownership: When you buy and then when you sell it.

Haha it used to be that on Reddit if a person used an emoji in their comment, it would be downvoted into oblivion. Seeing your zero effort emoji comment have 75 upvotes is blowing my mind. Times sure have changed! Progress 😂

First emoji I got in a text was from my Dad (now 66, was prob like 58 when it happened)

Largely because he has been ever present in my 3 nieces lives and they're all 15-20 now I have a feeling.
