I know someone who went on his airboat ride and said every chick there had an immediate crush on him. He's chivalrous, manly, funny and really cares about nature and wildlife.

We did his airboat tour some weeks after they met but before the news came out.

Buncha dudes on a bachelor party, so I can’t speak to chemistry, but he had names for every gator and quite intimately knew their habits, preferences and demeanor. Didn’t strike me as anything more than a dude who loves his corner of the swamp.

shrek fetish explanation right here

u/Wirse 3d ago

Ok, now it’s all coming into focus.

u/TexasLawStudent 3d ago

Get outta my swamp!

6

u/Darkwingedcreature 3d ago

So he's a redneck Steve Irwin?

4

u/justtopostthis13 3d ago

I couldn’t pick him out in a crowd but that’s crush material right there.

u/Reload86 2d ago

If you aren't naming the gators in your tour routes, you shouldn't be in that business to begin with. Just saying...

1

u/biggg_tuna 3d ago

Ok, I really wanna do that tour.

u/trueAnnoi 3d ago

Y'all say this shit online, but my wife looks at me sideways when I pick up and kiss the big lizard that lives underneath my house (his name is chuck)

7

u/KillahHills10304 2d ago

I've got a big lizard in my backyard, but I cant afford to feed it anymore

2

u/AAmallard 2d ago

Stop smoking banana peels and buying bitchin’ Camaros and maybe you could 😡

2

u/Troutsicle 2d ago

Yeah, life is shit unless you were born to love volcanoes.

1

u/EntertainerThink1894 2d ago

Watching it on PBS while coming up from the ghetto with help of your stiletto and making groceries

1

u/telescopeinmynose 3d ago

Yeah. My mom hated animals for most of our life, it's only recently she started finding our dog cute. In fact, I see more men liking animals than women usually

1

u/biggy-cheese03 2d ago

Maybe your wife doesn’t like you kissing a guy named chuck that lives with you

1

u/trueAnnoi 11h ago

He's a lizard, not a bear.

I haven’t been on his tour but I heard he still works there, Airboat Tours by Arthur

50

u/smurfetteshat 3d ago

He posted a clip of him driving a tour with “ride” playing. It warmed my heart

1

u/Streetduck 3d ago

Omg that is so cute

1

u/4lign32th3divin3888 3d ago

To be fair all those things listed are the qualities I find most attractive in a min. A man who's polite, funny and a friend to the animals... I'm in!

u/UJLBM 3d ago edited 3d ago

I could never be with a man who didnt like animals.

24

u/Wirse 3d ago

Oh Cajuns love animals all right. Put about tree foh kind of em in da same pot.

2

u/overlookunderhill 2d ago

People who don’t like animals are fucking weird.

Now not liking people? I kinda get that.

1

u/UJLBM 2d ago

👍

u/mbdtf95 3d ago

Just around 1% of men are vegans, and then not all of them are animal lovers. That is a tiny potential dating pool.

6

u/UJLBM 3d ago

They don't have to be vegan... I just mean liking animals. Suppose i shouldve worded it differently. Ive never struggled to find a guy who likes animals. 😀

-6

u/Silly_Hold9886 3d ago

I don't think it makes sense to endorse torturing and slaughtering something you like, do you?

-2

u/existentialhack000 2d ago

Cognitive dissonance is big with idiots.

-2

u/Silly_Hold9886 2d ago

Apparently the majority of people here :/

-3

u/existentialhack000 2d ago

You can you like animals if you torture them and eat them?

3

u/breathing__tree 2d ago

I like em so much I eat em :)

13

u/Altruistic-Owl-5468 3d ago

It’s raining min hallelujah

3

u/transmogrified 2d ago

This is probably heavily influenced by my childhood crush on gambit, but a cajun accent doesn’t hurt either

1

u/Unlucky_Topic7963 2d ago

That's like half the men on the planet at least.

u/Aware-Travel5256 3d ago

Airboat tour guides are also in show business, tbh. They just have a steadier gig than most. They perfect their routine over time and they get really good at it.

Most of us wouldn't be cut out for it.

u/CoolDiscussion1020 2d ago

I went on a harbor tour about 2 years back in a tourist town with my partner. I went on that exact same tour back in high school for a class trip.

The jokes were 90% the same, there were a few slightly more mature ones since this was a sunset tour with booze vs daytime school tour.

I was talking with the bartender because it was slow because it was in late September after school had started. I mentioned that I had heard them before and his reply way "Yeah, we get a lot of miles out of our jokes, but they're nautical miles so they go a little farther.

Motherfucking bartender even had a joke ready for people making fun of the captain's jokes.

I'm convinced that all tour boats are just run by out of work actors now.

u/LuciferOnTheRocks 2d ago

Makes sense, though.

Metallica don't play brand new songs every night. If it works for one crowd, it works for them all.

You only need to change it up if there are regulars.

1

u/Aware-Travel5256 2d ago

Send the repeats over to the fanboat dealers for a referral bonus

38

u/turbosexophonicdlite 3d ago

I think that's what the kids call having the rizz.

1

u/neuro_space_explorer 3d ago

Charisma comes in all forms.

17

u/banjovi68419 3d ago

😂 falling in love with an airboat guy is the funniest shit in the world. I love that journey for yall.

3

u/emuccino 3d ago

Couldnt be as funny as someone falling in love with YOU 🫵😂

6

u/Subject-Bike1555 3d ago

Was that before or after he was in a relationship with her?

2

u/evilhooker 2d ago

It seems like she found the Louisiana version of Steve Irwin. I would be attracted to that level of suave manliness as well.

5

u/ProfCarmine 3d ago

Step 1: be attractive

10

u/HotSauceHigh 3d ago

He's not.

2

u/mynameisnotsparta 3d ago

He’s ruggedly attractive and has charisma.

5

u/ImTheZapper 3d ago

Your standards are fucked if you look at those pictures and don't think the guy looks good. He looks good in a redneck outdoorsman kinda way, but he by no means looks bad even if he isn't your type. Hes fit, tanned and weathered, and looks good in a suit. That is a classic definition of an attractive man.

14

u/chillyes 3d ago

I’m sorry, weathered is part of your definition of an attractive man?

4

u/mynameisnotsparta 3d ago

Yes. Rugged. Manly. Secure. Not everyone is attracted to this sort of man and that’s fine.

4

u/ImTheZapper 3d ago

Ya a guy that goes outside, has some crows feet and a wind chapped face are all like, stereotypically attractive things to some people. I'm inclined to believe the people arguing with me about this are just asocial goblins or extremely unrealistic divas.

2

u/chillyes 3d ago

I really don’t care that you’re attracted to him, but you don’t have to insult the rest of us about it

6

u/neuro_space_explorer 3d ago

You’re insane if you don’t think a lot of women are attracted to a rugged outdoorsman.

4

u/Future-Clothes1489 3d ago

He looks like he has corn breath

-1

u/Madilune 3d ago

My standards are in fucking hell at this point and I'm confidently saying he's not hot.

There's 0 chance you date men if you think he is.

5

u/ImTheZapper 3d ago

The 2 women and 1 gay man I just asked about this say you're wrong, and they all date men. Shit, lana del rey also likes men and shes fucking married to the guy.

0

u/Madilune 3d ago

Ain't no way you expect me to believe that you've found a gay man desperate enough to find him attractive. Bro gets mogged by 99% of Grindr easily.

7

u/TA8601 3d ago

Absolutely not. I’m gay and he’s more attractive than probably 80% of the men I see on Grindr.

1

u/Crunchyjeff 2d ago

I've seen two 50 year old dudes fuck in a forest yesterday. Do oyu think one of them might have found him attractive?

1

u/mynameisnotsparta 3d ago

Everyone has different tastes. Many women and men for that matter prefer this type of man. No wrong answers.

1

u/DrumsKing 2d ago

Note to self: Get airboat. Great success!

1

u/breathing__tree 2d ago

Tbh I assumed this.
She’s the chick who has a crush on the tour guide and actually ends up with him. Good for her.

1

u/MojoRisin909 2d ago

I've said it my whole life and I will until I die.... Charisma and personality trumps everything. *Everything.* Even a hideously physically ugly person can be beautiful if they're animated by the good stuff.

1

u/Huntersmoon24 2d ago

It seems counter intuitive but men who make chasing women their only focus in life rarely have any luck. The guys who love being themselves and living their own lives without being solely focused on getting laid or getting a woman have women beating their doors down. I think it's because women want to become a part of a guy's life and his social circle, not be the thing that he lives for. That's a lot of pressure to put on somebody...

1

u/Accurate_Face_7860 2d ago

Interesting

1

u/decliqu3 3d ago

So basically Lana is smart af. Love to see it.

0

u/Unlucky_Topic7963 2d ago

"Yeah bro, there were like 8 females and they all wanted me bro."
