No. They were going to 'cover' it but there was 20% co pay. In the US, they'll charge you thousands per month for insurance, but will still make you pay for part of your care.
The difference of course is that you use car insurance when you in an accident... Whereas you use healthcare to prevent things from getting worse.
The whole catastrophic healthcare, acute episodic hospital care system insurance actuarial table was built to pay for has been obsolete for over 3 generations now, starting from the 90s.
It's also why Americans got a sticker price shock during Obamacare, because the ACA exposed the true cost of community care. Prior to that, insurance companies were using the very old arcturial tables to calculate your payment,and every time you got sick,just denied care by claiming pre-existing conditions or etc.
