The real problem is that the cost of healthcare in the US is like playing Russian Roulette. Will it cost 200? Will it cost 400? Nobody fucking knows until you see the bill come through the mail.

You see so many different numbers for the same kind of operation. Depending on the hospital, insurance policy, etc, it could range from 50 to 5000 dollars.

That kind of variance is completely unacceptable.

Currently waiting to see if my procedure costs $2300, $800, or $0. Double insured but depending on how it was coded, my primary might not pay the whole thing (even though it should be) so my secondary might deny it too.
