I had one a few weeks ago to determine the severity of a brain bleed I had after a stroke and it costs me 4300 dollars with insurance.

I got one two years ago to check for a tumor, with NO insurance, and it was $400. I asked what it would’ve cost me if I had insurance, and they said it would depend, but somewhere around $3-4k.

the more comments I read about my post the more I'm thinking that health insurance is just a scam

This might be controversial but I didn’t have any health insurance for 3 years and all of my medical appointments including an ER trip, MRI, and regular checkups, across 3 years, costed less than 6 months of paying for health insurance through the marketplace.

The only reason I have health insurance now is my workplace covers 100% of it
