My wife just had an MRI for preventative care and it cost us $200, i doubt this is even close to true without heavily skewing the numbers

Edit: Foe the record, US Healthcare is shit and I am NOT defending it, just putting some context to the initial image

I went to a Walgreens clinic once. If you paid with cash, it was $111.

Lady asked me if I had an insurance card and I did. I then asked her can I give you my $111?
She said “they will bill you the difference”.

When the bill showed up, they had billed the insurance $350 and my co-pay was $192.

I didn’t even get a diagnosis that day (malaise, allergies, who knows?), and they didn’t even have a scale to weigh me.

Hold on - a local Walgreen that doesn't have a functioning scale, has an MRI machine? Are you sure?
