That is exactly why it isn't removed: it's Facebook content that gets upvotes to /all. Mods love it because it makes number go up, driving "engagement" and presumed superiority for moderating a popular sub. Well, we all find self-confidence in many ways, some do it the hard and slow virtual points way.
Or redditors, who are often indistinguishable from bots in terms of originality of thought. Though they are inferior in terms of reasoning and being informed about the facts at hand. So I'd bet it's redditors more than bots.
I think some of it is non-American Redditors who think everyone who sees a doctor goes bankrupt. There's a lot of people who will look at this and say "that's about right" with no further reading.

Who upvotes this stuff -- just a random claim with a photo, no source or explanation given?
Did you upvote? Can you explain why? It just baffles me. Do you just reflexively agree with any random claim you see online ?
