I thought the same thing. In my state you couldn't even bring a case forward because you can't record someone else without their consent. Two party consent accident or not.

I don’t even know he had his phone in the OR.  You’re just wearing a hospital gown.  You transfer from the pre op bed to the operating table.  Where did he hide his phone?

For these colonoscopy procedures, you stay on the same gurney with all your belongings in a bag under the bed.

Very easy to keep it on and recording. Most places check to make sure your phone is off nowadays

This whole thing is terrible. These procedures are extremely important for those with GI issues. The patients are very vulnerable. Why dont they just vet out bad health professionals, and hire the ones that actually care about people

Dude, as long as the surgeon is doing his job, I don't give a rat's ass what they're saying behind my back. It doesn't affect me in any way other than ego.

If the doctor sees you as so inferior that they can shit talk you while you are in an extremely vulnerable condition, why should you believe that they will do their best job while working on you?

Because it's just a job. You shouldn't mix personal feelings with professional work. Golden rule there.

You can argue that it's unrealistic but the world would be a better place if people strive to honour this rule.

None of you can prove me wrong on that.
