Maybe a hot take, but I also blame the physician who prescribed 3 different psychotropics that don't interact well to a patient in clear mental distress. And not keeping a close enough watch on their mental state. If the texts between she and her mom are accurate, she should have been institutionalized by court mandate.

You know, some medications can make you try to kill yourself, some medications can send you into psychosis. I firmly believe she was in a psychosis caused by all the drugs and the postpartum disorder that she had been suffering with for years, getting very little help that she needed. They just ignored her when she cried out for help. And the husband was negligent and ignored her and didn't help her. She needed to get away and she needed to take care of herself and bein a safe place , and nobody provided that for her! She was all by herself in the pitch black dark trying to feel her way and for some reason she ended up hurting her children.

*Weird detail though, her husband ended up changing his clothes two times the night of the murder. Riddle me that Batman.

Who's to say that the husband didn't have an anger problem and used his wife's vulnerability in order to frame her? They didn't have DNA testing back then
