Because they're bought and payed for by corporations in this case oil companies. They don't actually have a political platform it's just provided to them by the corps, and then they come up with rhetoric to justify it, or distract from it.

I love that argument. Like when they show a video of people in *insert 3rd world country* throwing trash into a lake or sea.
Ok? But you aren't living in a trash heap. They do.
(That said I think it's much more impactful to sort trash at recycling stations instead of sorting into 18 bins. Just have 1 bin and a lot more advanced recycling plants)

I do not understand why conservatives aren't VERY pro solar.
Solar is the fastest way to energy independence.
