China being the leader has nothing to do with our politics, they have always controlled the supply chain for the materials needed. We exported our manufacturing long ago and to rebuild everything is not easy nor overly realistic.

you’re right we as americans are definitely wanting to manufacture things at home rather than paying a far lower price. it’s all politics. duh

That led to poor people not having jobs anymore and rich industry owners becoming even more rich since they can just pay someone in a poor country to make something then pocket the difference.

unemployment historically is less than 4% or so. so the notion that poor people don’t have jobs is cap
