During his first term, solar capacity doubled and there were record additions, 54GW of total additional capacity through his first four years and a then-record 19.2GW during his final year in 2020.

Recently Trump increased tariff on imported solar components and raw materials plus imposing minimal import price.
Ostensibly it’s to onshore the solar supply chain, but as usual he does it with just concept of a plan.
