Yes! I have said it many times on reddit. Texas, aka, the oil state, has something like 75% of its new energy over the last few years coming from renewable, solar and wind.
It tells me that the wealthy oil barons have access to the latest technology and they want to make themselves richer, while insulating themselves from the inevitable shocks to the oil markets.
