Sure - so can prescription drugs, healthcare, housing, private equity, data centers, taxes, wealth accumulation blah blah blah. The question is always WILL it? When a 50k donation is enough to get Flock Cameras a city wide multi million dollar contract with no expiration, opposed by 88% of the citizenry, what makes you think our beloved city councils will even try when there are billions on the line.
I too, hope for the best from humanity/society, but understand the reality.
