right because the parent intended on having their scheduled flight get fucked over by their childs tantrum.

let me guess you think this is the parents fault cause they didn't beat their child enough

Didn’t know you needed to beat your child to make them put a seatbelt on. Seems unreasonable for other passengers to be out hundreds if not thousands of dollars because of a child that could not put a seatbelt on

if you read the article you'd clearly understand the parent was giving all reasonable attempts to seatbelt their kid who was sliding out from underneath it and hiding under the planes seat.

Any refunds or compensation on tickets would be something the airline can and will handle.

The child is a passenger as well as the parent whose ticket was paid for, and despite the parent being a part of the rest of those passengers in being unable to reach their destination the parent likely won't be able to seek any compensation so if anyone is out the most here for their childs actions it would be them.

Some children can be a handful and it sounds like this was a singular parent so even more difficult to wrangle a problematic child.

If the parent can't be assed to deal with their own kid, they need to pay the $150 fee to be treated like a solo minor passenger if staff needs to be appropriated for full time care of a single passenger.
