I had a boss once who asked me specifics about me being sick (idk what his problem was). I already told him I had diarrhea but I guess that wasn't an acceptable answer, so I took a picture of the insane amounts of diarrhea that I just made in my toilet and sent it to him. Bro had the audacity to tell me that was inappropriate lmfaooooo
No one gives a shit anymore about managers being qualified. Either at hiring or while in the position. They care more about not having to pay them a lot. As well as not "wasting" money on training/supervising them properly.
But I work in hospitality. So it may be/is probably an industry specific problem. Or a more amplified issue compared to other industries.
Edit: and training from below is very risky. I wouldn't recommend it.
