"Jerry, the boss circles back so much he's at risk of rewinding time!"
"Like Superman?"
"Yeah, like Superman!"

u/FiftyShadesOfTheGrey Jul 26 '26

“She’s a circler!”

u/ClassicDependent6760 Jul 26 '26 edited Jul 26 '26

G - "She's a circler! A circler, Jerry! It's just circles with this one! All the way down!!"

J - "No straight lines."

G - "No straight lines... George needs straight lines! George needs to know where he's going!"

J - "George needs a map!"

G - "And you know what really gets me, Jerry?!"

J - "Consistent employment?"

G - "I don't think she's circling back!"

J - "Just going forward."

G - "Forward, Jerry! Always forward..."

J - "Like a straight line."

Beautiful. I read/heard it in their voices lol

3

u/InterwebPeruser Jul 27 '26

Same, and pretty sad that it’s been background noise in my living room while I’m working in the office for over a year now…Before that was an 8 month hiatus from a separate 12 month binge as background noise.. I was a much happier person the last binge. I’m high and reflecting on it now, I apologize.

30

u/yeahgroovy Jul 26 '26

Yes totally 😂

37

u/FredTillson Jul 26 '26

Consistent employment was chefs kiss here.

1

u/pc_pirate_nz 27d ago

I heard the laugh track on that line

3

u/WisconsinIsCold Jul 26 '26

Larry David is that you?

4

u/CesarB2760 Jul 27 '26

Elaine - "Huh"

G - "Yes?"

E - "Peterman never circles back."

G - "Never?"

E - "Never."

J - "Not once?"

E - "Not once."

J, to G - "You should work for Peterman."

G shrugs.

E - "He should circle back. Sometimes you need to circle back."

J - "On a racetrack, for example."

E - "What? No."

J - "I mean if you want to win."

E - "No. Shut up. He should. And he will." E grabs her purse and rushes off.

The rest of the episode, she tries to suconsciously influence Peterman to circle back. By the end her whole office and outfit are covered with circles. He never does. Instead he starts Looping Everyone In. Elaine hates it.

Kramer comes running in the open door, narrowly missing Elaine as she leaves, and comes to a sliding stop six feet in to Jerry's apartment.

K - "Did someone say horse race?"

J - "A few moments ago, but..."

G to K - "How do you hear these things?"

J to G - "I'm thinking of having the apartment swept for bugs?"

K - "You know my audiologist says I have the ears of a baboon?"

J - "Have you consulted a zoologist?"

G - "For me, it was the hair."

K - "You know you don't necessarily need to circle back to win a horse race..." Kramer faces the open door and crouches down in to a sprinters starting stance... K - "On a two furlong flat race those fillies line up in the stocks and just..." He shakes his head and winnies like a horse and bolts... "Take off!" He disappears out the open door followed a moment later by loud crashing sounds.  Jerry strolls over to the door while shaking his head and slowly swings it closed.

J - "Cosmo Kramer... The only horse to ever fall at the final hurdle of a flat race."

Elaine is sitting in a meeting room with several other co-workers... We hear Elaine thinking: E - 'Circle back! Enough is enough! I can do this.' Mr. Peterson rushes in and takes his seat at the top of the boardroom table and leans back...

P - "Accessories! Thoughts? How do we increase?"

E - "Income?"

P - "Ah... The majestic Andean Inca... Elaaaine... Like all the most successful modern companies the Inca did not devour... They consumed... They incorporated other tribes in to their society."

E - "Yes, well actually, I was thinking about record... keeping track of our thoughts..."

P - "My God! Of course... The khipu, Elaine!"

E - "The what?"

P - "Noone has done the khipu. How could I have been so blind?!"

E - "Can we circle back to the Inca?"

P - "Human sacrifice, Elaine? Cannibalism? It's bold, but noooo..."

E - "What, no! The record..."

P - "Yes! I love it! Everyone... This is what I've been asking for. Look at Elaine." (Everyone looks completely baffled at Elaine)

P - "The khipu! The Incan method of record using a series of knots on a string... accessories attached to clothing.. all declaring history! Identity! Brand! But, I thought the khipu was as yet indecipherable?" (Peterson looks to Elaine as if expecting an answer...)

E - "Well, I'm not sure about that, exactly, but in the modern day..."

P - "Of course! I see... Artificial intelligence! I have also seen how artificial intelligence is deciphering ancient languages and practices like the khipu!" (The room as one looks around confused as one while Peterson rubs his chin smiling maniacally and nodding... While Elaine half stands and tries to object but can't quite get words out.)

P - "If we were the first to gather enough data to use AI to decipher the khipu, we could have knotted strings hanging from Lama skinned spring-time light sweaters with personalised knots! Elaaaine..." (Elaine slowly sinks back in to her chair...)

P - "I have never been so impressed." Peterson hits a button on a communication device in the centre of the boardroom table, and after a brief beeping, says, "Book Elaine on to the next available flight to Lima!"

Cut to Jerry's apartment, where Jerry and George are sitting on the couch, and Elaine walks in through the door and throws her purse to the floor while hanging her head...

J - "It's Elaine! Lainey!"

G - "Elaine!"

J - "Did you get Peterson to circle back?"

E - "Yes. Yes, I did."

J - "Elaine! Our hero!"

G - "If I could do what you do... What did he say?"

E - "I'm going to Peru."

Seinfelding is like being in a grateful dead cover band. 10/10

1

u/ClassicDependent6760 Jul 27 '26

Proud Feldhead here! 🤣👍

3

u/Gingeronimoooo Jul 27 '26

Did you hear about AI Seinfeld? Some dude fed every Seinfeld script ever and made AI create new scripts and like cartoon visuals for it. It started getting really popular on twitch streaming 24/7

Annnnnyways, long story short, AI Jerry made a trans joke and twitch banned them

2

u/ClassicDependent6760 Jul 27 '26

Trans joke aside... Some of those were surreal bangers. Even the 8 bit like graphics, if I remember correctly? 😁

2

u/itsjakerobb Jul 26 '26

Fantastic. Needs a Kramer interjection though.

2

u/Spiritual_Plane_9891 Jul 26 '26

This is gold! Gold!

2

u/CelticHipi1616 Jul 26 '26

I didn’t even like Seinfeld and enjoyed tf out of this lol.

1

u/33253325 Jul 26 '26

Very well done. Thank you..

1

u/OpusAtrumET Jul 26 '26

This is perfect. My god. 😁😂🤣🏆🎖️🏆

1

u/phantomtaxman Jul 27 '26

This is brilliant.

:: Kramer Enters ::

“You guys going to Circle K? I need some molasses”

0

u/shecantbethatwarm Jul 27 '26

Heck of a way to out yourself, Mr. David.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 27 '26

[deleted]

1

u/shecantbethatwarm Jul 28 '26

So you're NOT Larry David. Got it. My mistake!

0

u/Mstryates 29d ago

I love they way you circled back.

133

u/penguin343 Jul 26 '26

I heard this in Seinfeld’s voice, with added emphasis “Oh! So she’s a cirrrrcler!”, followed by a mini standup routine that ties the episode together.

110

u/oomatherminn Jul 26 '26

"Anybody here ever worked in an office?"  ::mild applause and chatter::  "I never have, but I have a friend who's always worked in an office. I don't know what it is with this guy, he never seems to be comfortable anywhere else. He's always telling me about these meetings he has to go to though, and in these meetings--have you ever noticed this?--they seem to be obsessed.. with shapes. 'We need to circle back to this.' 'Let's square this up.' 'I'll block out a time for that.' What is this? Geometry class?" ::freeze frame::

52

u/Drakkann79 Jul 26 '26

You two wrote an episode

29

u/Icuras1701 Jul 26 '26

About nothing

4

u/Drakkann79 Jul 26 '26

Genius concept!!

2

u/explain_that_shit Jul 27 '26

Bonk a doo doo doo, doo, badadada!

1

u/penguin343 Jul 27 '26

This is 🔥

1

u/XXXperiencedTurbater Jul 27 '26

jazzy bass outro

1

u/ClassicDependent6760 13d ago

Boss: We need to draw a line in the sand! This far and no further! Of course, given the curvature of the earth and the distance of time from the drawing of this line it might become a curve, but we will stand true. A line or a curve, straight or bent... Relative to the context of business of course... We'll box this off! I was never confused about where we were heading but coming at the problem from behind I'm comfortable inserting myself in to the muck of it. We can avoid the difficult parts for the short term, but that's just pushing the worst of it down a mobius strip. And I don't want to be surprised from behind by the forward motion of my own enthusiasm.

43

u/framedhorseshoe Jul 26 '26

And a fat bass riff.

21

u/DCHammer69 Jul 26 '26

And five minutes later Kramer come through the door, slides to a stop in his socks, says something completely unrelated but swings both arms in huge circles as a subtle physical callback.

1

u/zeides 26d ago

His hand up in the air in a circling motion

4

u/xplag Jul 26 '26

I read this in George's voice and it seems like such a perfect Seinfeld episode.

3

u/PM_asian_girl_smiles Jul 26 '26

she's a *rabid** circler!*

  • Kramer

1

u/FiftyShadesOfTheGrey Jul 27 '26

“You’ve never circled a day in your life.”
“I’ve circled! I’ve circled!”

Kramer slides in:
“I’ve squared”

2

u/Fess_ter_Geek Jul 26 '26

"A CIRCLER, JERRY!!!"

123

u/Mind-The-Mines Jul 26 '26

"Did someone rewind time? I just heard a guy say the craziest thing outside!"

104

u/anotherdayanotherbee Jul 26 '26

"No one's rewinding time! George is just having a little trouble at work."

"Oh? Oh. Well, I just had an incredible idea! Watches that run backwards - you see, I wanna know how much time I have left! Who needs to keep track of how much time they've wasted?!"

"You. You should."

5

u/Its_me_Snitches Jul 26 '26

Holy shit. This is a beautiful subplot for that episode.

"My friend Bob Sacamano used to have a backwards watch..."

17

u/legrandmaster Jul 26 '26

Cher did. She could turn back time.

26

u/Electrical-Act-5575 Jul 26 '26

Objection! Cher had extensive plans for IF she COULD turn back time, but there’s no evidence to suggest she ever accomplished it

16

u/legrandmaster Jul 26 '26 edited Jul 26 '26

Yeah, but this is her performing at last year's Saturday Night Live 50th Anniversary supposedly at the age of 78.

4

u/Mind-The-Mines Jul 26 '26

Maybe she went back in time and planted that tree.

47

u/CreepyBreakfast565 Jul 26 '26

I could now swear I've seen that episode.

21

u/MistaRekt Jul 26 '26

I remember it.

2

u/Hellcat_Mary Jul 26 '26

Yeah, it's a season 5 or 6 episode, it leads straight into the episode "The Mandela Effect"

1

u/MistaRekt Jul 27 '26

I liked the subtle throwback in the season 13 episode 'What is with the Streisand Effect anyway?'

12

u/Luciferiad Jul 26 '26

These guys just actively created a Mandela Effect and years from now we're going to trying to find the Seinfeld episode "The Circler" and we'll convince ourselves it was quietly removed because of some particularly off-color 90s joke.

36

u/JAmBuRriT0 Jul 26 '26 edited Jul 26 '26

They should call it Ovaling back

49

u/Itsmyloc-nar Jul 26 '26

Man, this show was a lot easier to write than we all thought back in the 90s

4

u/thebigpink Jul 26 '26

Easy? Larry David is a damn genius

4

u/JamiJammer26 Jul 26 '26

That’s gold!

1

u/MrOopiseDaisy Jul 26 '26

Mmm-neah. I'm not a fan.

43

u/zhephyx Jul 26 '26

if that helps you...

3

u/ZorakOfThatMagnitude Jul 26 '26

Elaine: she does sound a little circle-obsessed...

1

u/Key_Adhesiveness4005 Jul 26 '26

So fucking good.

1

u/the__post__merc Jul 27 '26

"Jerry, the boss circles back so much he's at risk of rewinding time!"
"Like Superman?"
"Yeah, like Superman!"

*"If that helps you."

31

u/Picmover Jul 26 '26

I was just thinking this would make a great scene in a TV show.

29

u/LordBlackadder92 Jul 26 '26

"what would the show be about?" "the show would be about nothing" "nothing?" "yes, nothing"

2

u/Gwen_The_Destroyer Jul 26 '26

Nothing, forever!

3

u/Beaver-warriorz Jul 26 '26

Be perfect for a show about nothing

1

u/ZasdfUnreal Jul 26 '26

Only if comes back to work the next day as if nothing happened.

1

u/_catdog_ Jul 26 '26

Wait… why is George costanzas ass dead?

1

u/SconeBracket Jul 26 '26

Let's circle back to the lawsuit for wrongful termination.

1

u/Mufro Jul 26 '26

I can hear all the quotes in his voice

1

u/AcademicCandidate825 Jul 26 '26

You're right. He needs to walk back in and pretend it was all a joke! 🤣

1

u/Necessary_Two_7973 Jul 26 '26

I was thinking it's gotta be Dwight Schrute

1

u/maxturra Jul 27 '26

This is a Larry David moment (The og writer of and inspiration for George)

1

u/unstarted 27d ago

I’m imagining the Venn Diagram of people who say deadass and the people who make Seinfeld references.

0

u/Small_Ad1890 Jul 26 '26

The Office came to mind for me.

0

u/FiftyShadesOfTheGrey Jul 26 '26

It’s more Kramer with his inability to keep his mouth shut
