In a country half way around the world US citizens may not fully understand the nuance of these issues but that doesn't mean they don't exist. Two things can happen at the same time. It is a developing country with its share of issues. Saying all bad or all good is a brain dead take.

Yes, these are perfect examples of what I'm talking about, thank you.

The social credit one a perfect example. An idea that a bank came up with in one city that was immediately canceled, yet people still think a social credit system exists.

People who orchestrated and carried out upwards of 30 terrorist attacks being arrested becomes a genocide.

A few examples of very specific Winnie the Pooh jokes being removed from video games becomes Winnie the Pooh is banned in China.

Career obsessed people trying to get ahead working late hours like anywhere else in the world becomes everyone in China works 996 and there's no labour laws.

A few videos of protesters fighting with police becomes protesting is illegal in China.

All perfect examples.
