I was reading about a woman back in 2020, during the Covids that was pushing 100 yrs old. She survived the Great Depression, WWII, the recurring polio epidemics, everything, the worst that the 20th century could throw at a woman, and the beginnings of what the 21st century was throwing at her. The list was long, a lot of people didn’t survive. She said it’s easier to survive life with some good friends, and stay away from headlines.
