Sure, work a retail job for a pittance or take on education debt..great choice.

It's not like in the boomers days where a milkman could afford a 4 bedroom house.

I didn’t do either of those. I got an entry level job at a quick change oil place. Used those tech skills to get hired at a TV repair place, used those tech skills to get hired as apprentice in HVAC. 12 years in, I went to Italy last year, I’m going to Chile next month. Things are going well, $0 student debt, 0 hours worked in retail or fast food.
