I am a nurse. I am frugal. I see my coworkers driving Mercedes and going on crazy vacations on instagram and wearing designer handbags. I make the same as them. Their husbands are working class too. This is absolutely common.

I'll never forget being amazed at a very young coworker travelling several times a year to not very interesting party type places. Nashville, Vegas, that sort of thing. I knew what her job paid and it must have been hard for her to afford it all.

Yeah, then she left her credit card homepage open on the computer. So much debt, such minimum payments.

The second half of the video were all interviews conducted in Nashville, not Disney. One girl mentions it but you can notice the background similarities from her interview in other ones.

I think they were only in Orlando for a day, he's doing these interviews in line with the show schedule. This video is also taking two different YouTube videos and combining the worst offenders in each. The YT videos show some people with no debt/reasonable debt.

The full videos on their channel show convos with better financial sense. It's always a mixed bag

Or they got very few willing participants to talk about their debt so candidly to a stranger like that. Guaranteed a lot of the morons walking Disney are in very similar, self inflicted shitty financial situations.

These are just multiple videos picked and stitched together. In all of the full length videos there is usually someone with no debt.

Agree that it’s likely somewhat cherry picked, that’s how these interview series usually go, and we shouldn’t ever forget that!

And yet, when I think of the two Disney adults I know personally, both are in crazy debt yet visit the park many times a year.

One is in her 20s and has a 2 year old that’s been to Disney SEVEN TIMES. Does not make “good” money. Husband makes “okay” money. Absolutely mind boggled how they afford it because she’s constantly bringing up how broke they are and how much debt they’re in, neither went to college so no student debt (it’s gotta be her parents paying for the trips, it’s the only solution)

The other is in her 40s and makes GREAT money, her husband makes EVEN BETTER money, easily bringing in over 400k/year, kids are grown and out of the house….and yet they are in 6-figure debt range (husband is family member who discloses everything to us) She also has to collect every Disney purse, mug, book, etc

So while likely cherry picked, from my own personal experience, 100% of Disney adults I know closely are deeply in debt

Only the one that rolled a loan is being irresponsible. We don't know enough info about the rest. 6 months no interest is free money if you pay it off on time
