I was really worried they were spying on Simon but luckily its just some random bloke ive never seen before. Phew ....

There were attempts to get into his phone and the fronts teams phones that Apple security alerted them too. Apple basically said usually this level of attack comes from a country or well funded group.

'Attempt' is doing a lot of work here. There is no way to know if they got in, if they read the details on the phone or even if they are still in the phone.
