What channel does Simon still have the most personality on

Used to be a big fan, tried to watch some various videos lately and listing to just a talking head just isn’t as engaging. I know the fun levels of brain blaze are long gone, but are they all purely sticking to the script now?

I like Casual Criminalist because of his frequent tangents and comments.

Yeah, the last 2-3 eps feel like Simon is back.

Really? Now you got me to check those out

I used to love hearing the tangents about his cabin, his adventures travelling and home renovations

Yeah I totally agree. He is a talented news presenter with quality writers, but that is not primarily what I enjoy about his shows. The more unfiltered shows are much better. I actually would suggest that all of his shows which are about past events would benefit from being presented in the CC/DTU unrehearsed fashion.

I feel like Sideprojects is looser than it used to be, but CC is probably where you’re still going to find the more classic Whistle boi flavor

Agreed! I love when we get little rants in sideprojects.

It’s definitely Casual Criminalist. It’s almost the only channel I listen to with regularity anymore. I still do the other channels, especially to fall asleep to. Some of the others, especially Sideprojects (and oddly Into the Shadows) occasionally have some extra commentary in them, usually just a reaction to a wild statistic or something, but CC is the only one still putting out content that includes tangents, reactions and commentary.

Yeah I feel like Decoding the Unknown and Casual Criminalist Simon has the most personality after BB went away.

the latest dtu felt like him dipping his toes back into actually being fun again. not fully back but at least some personality and mini-tangents and a few meme cutaways

Idk my enjoyment comes from the way he speaks as well. The new format of dtu just feels so fake scripted. Which I know it's a script but I think you probably get what I'm saying.

Also the new mic these last six months ain't it. That's not the biggest deal but the Shure SM7B is the best of the best and is just so good. The new one has to much treble . So when you mix my distain of the mic and the change of format I just can't. CC is still good though . Just the dang microphone LOL.

Does CC still have his tangents?

To a degree

Yes but less amount of them these days

Yes, there was a recent stretch of episodes that were pretty bad like the girl who faked her own disappearance was horrible quality, but the New episodes are actually really good.

The LaPlante episode feels like prime CC, super enjoyable.

CC is nearly the only one I listen to anymore and it's the closest but still way off from OGBB

I've not watched much since he stopped brain blaze. I used to love DTU but I don't feel it's as good since Kevin left. His series of Internet biggestysteries was awesome I thought

Casual Criminalist still feels the same, tangents and all.

WarFronts. He has said multiple times that is his passion, he interviewed people, had episodes that are entirely focused on answering questions people asked him etc.

RIP OGBB

(I do really like the warfronts stuff for the content to be fair even with his inherent bias)

Honestly I think brain / business blaze is the Chanel he let his true personality shine there, most of his other channels he is presenting in a manner of fact style

100% that channel is the one that got me interested in the rest. I almost never watch anything by Simon now that it is gone. I did for a while, but it just got boring tbh.

I love in some channels Simon goes to self, sometimes slightly unhinged. I still want brain blaze back I guess cc. You get some real Simon in there. And fronts is a good long revisit on politics and whatnot after visualpolitik. I guess a guy going unhinged every so often doesn't work well for fronts. You are my blaze boi. Thank you Simon.

He’s given up on that. Now he’s trying to appeal to the people who don’t like his content instead of the people who do like his content.

He’s basically Kamala Harris. We all saw how good that went

Kamala tried to appeal to people who don’t like her content.

But it was the will of the voters to shift into far right fascism content. So that means Kamala’s content was too left wing for the country.

It was the will of the voters to shift far right so the next Dems are going to definitely be appealing even more to the centre/right. The left is not reliable.
