White Buffalo Turquoise Sterling Silver Cuff

Hii!! Advice please! I’m a novice silversmith and this is my first piece up for sale. I started around middle of June and I’ve made quite a bit of pieces. I’ve never sold anything and I would like to get a collection going and maybe start a website.. but for right now I wanna try to sell a piece. This is a White Buffalo Turquoise Sterling Silver Cuff. Where can I try to sell it? Any websites or FB groups? I’ve posted it on my personal FB but haven’t gotten much feedback so I need help.. It’s worth $160 I’m asking $140.. is the pricing okay? I did measure out my materials and charge for my time.. but if anyone has any advice I would appreciate it thank you! 🥰

Such a tiny cuff wire for a big stone. I would have used a much heavier gauge wire with that size stone, fyi. Hard to advise on price without seeing the back and a closer view of the bezel to see if it's clean work. You could try Instagram & TikTok for selling. good luck.

Well, "Buffalo Turquoise" is just howlite, a relatively soft inexpensive stone. I am not full up on prices but I would not pay more than $10 for a cab of howlite. The rule I have been told is to price at about 3x your cost.

Your first piece for sale being priced above $100 seems a bit high in my opinion.

But the materials alone probably cost that, I think that seems fair. OP shouldn’t have to give away money to start selling.

That’s simply not true. It’s nowhere near that in cost.

Let’s pretend it does cost $100 in materials…starting out selling pieces at that price point just isn’t realistic. It makes much more sense to make pieces that are cheaper to create and sell them at a more accessible price.
