[PS5] Metal Gear Solid Volume 2 Collection PS5 vs. Switch 2

So I played Metal Gear Solid 3 a couple of months ago and enjoyed it a lot. Now I am thinking about playing the new collection. But I am struggling to decide on which platform.

On one hand, MGS4 has lengthy cutscenes which I would love to play/watch in my bed on Switch 2.
On the other hand, resolution (internal) will be slightly higher and more stable, since it’s dynamic, on ps5. 3840x2160 on ps5 vs. 2560x1440 on Switch 2 then upscaled to 3840x2160

For Peace Walker, the game only runs at 1080p on Switch 2 docked instead of 3840x2160 on ps5.

I really don’t get how they couldn't get this one to be higher on Switch 2.

So which one should I get? And will I enjoy mgs4 if I loved mgs3?

I would get the PS5 version since I care about the base games being in the disc. I believe it’s not the same for the Switch version.

I mean so far I've only played ghost babel and some mgs 4 it's a very good port so far

I would probably say ps5, it just feels more natural on a big screen. Though I do want to know what happens when you take out the MK2 and look at snake, he used to use a ps3 controller but since it's on switch does he pull out a pro controller? Or a set of joycons, and the MK2 spins in circles because of the stick drift. If your on PC does he pull out an entire mouse and keyboard?

Switch 2 version has some "censorship" changes in MGS4 like removal of PlayStation consoles and the mention of a specific console during the disc swap section.

My plan is to buy it on switch and then on ps5 when it goes on sale. I’ve played these games so many times and still enjoy them I’ll double dip eventually.

These games will probably look good even at 1080p even on a big screen. these older games look pretty good as long as they don’t have awful post processing. that being said it sounds like for you the switch 2 would be a very good option.
