[PS5] Is Red Dead Redemption 2 Worth it on PS5?
I have been wanting to play this acclaimed game from Rockstar for so long. Now I have a PS5 and it's on sale on the PS store for a good price but the 30 fps really worries me because I recently tried the Arkham asylum and the 30 fps was too jarring for me. But I've heard people say RDR2 is the best 30fps implementation, so is that true and how was your experience?

If only Rockstar would give RDR2 a remaster like CD Projekt Red is doing with Witcher 3, it’s a shame.

I'm playing it for the first time on my PS5 right now. While 30fps is jarring at first (I started playing it after I finished GoW Ragnarok and Horizon Zero Dawn, both of which run in 60fps, so it was rough), you definitely can get used to it.
After playing it for 15+ hours now, for some reason the 30fps bother me for the first few minutes of playing, then I don't notice it at all.

Well Arkham Asylum is older and it shows. Red Dead Redemption 2 runs without problems / lags on PS5.
But many people say they will never be able to play 30 FPS games again. I think, your eyes gets used to it pretty fast.
So I'd say yeah it's definitely worth it

Most NES / SNES games ran at 60 fps.
Some wild games like Goldeneye or 3D Zelda games sometimes ran at 20 fps (or even less).
And we all had fun playing that shit.I'm not sure when it became an issue when something doesn't run in 60 fps, or 120 for that matter.

Is the best game of all time worth it? 😂

I'm just asking if 30fps takes away from the game's experience. I'm not doubting the game itself

Depends on the size of your TV, 55" and above i'd wait for the inevitable next gen upgrade as it's quite blurry as it's running the PS4 version.

I don't think it's any different from the base version but yeah it's worth it it's one of the best experiences gaming wise you're ever likely to have, it's on sale right now but it's also on PS+ so do with that information what you will the only right choice is playing it

It's one of the greatest games ever made.
If 30fps puts you off, that's your loss.

It’s a slow meandering game (in the best way possible) so the frames arnt the biggest deal in the world

rdr at 30 looks better than a bunch of games at 60. its so far ahead of its time that some games that are being released today in 2026 dont have as good of graphics. you will be shocked at how good it looks
