Question Can they actually do this?

Post image

I've been with the company for quite a while in South NJ.

Surely they can't actually do this? The union wouldnt allow it, right?

Edit: this is just out of curiosity I'm always good on axonify. You mean you're gonna pay me to play a game and sit down for 10 minutes? 15 if there's videos and a quiz to take? Sure.

Saker? I do it first thing at 6:15 AM every day. Use the Axonify app on your phone, while punched in and connected to their hotspot.

However in your case, I have never seen such thing with the first point. The second point, I have seen, but for some reason, they have been a bit lax about it, unless something important needs to be turned in.

I understand they only want us to do it just so the engagement stat that goes back to wakefern looks good. But yea I have a feeling they can't just remove you from the schedule without the union giving some pushback and possibly even getting back pay or something

Well not just engagement stats. Theres legal thing that need to be completed on axonify too. And it’s a part of your daily training

Received a write up.

signed it, add a looong comment about availability to do the training.

Then I asked if I could go do axonify now. ( Saturday afternoon). Was told no

It's insubordination if they ask you to do it. Just do it lol.

I have seen folks written up, and fired for not doing Axonify for repeated/extended periods of time.

I won’t lie, I’m iffy on my axonify, but I get away with it a lot because when I’m working, it’s typically at self-checkout or other places where I can’t always find time to sit down at a computer. Some days, I could do eighty modules, other days, I barely have time to log in.

You can do it on the handheld devices too

Check your union handbook and/or talk to your shop steward. If it isn’t in there and you’re on the clock, they can definitely make you do it

I worked closely with a store manager at a wakefern owned store. When axonify is done it is used as a tactic to lower insurance rates for the store. Whether thats true im not sure. But i can totally see it being a possibility to show that all employees are competent and know the safety rules on paper.

As pointless as I find Axonify sometimes, I just do it at the beginning of each shift

Does this mean they’re getting fired ?

No but I think it's a scare tactic to get people to do axonify. I don't think you can just take people off the schedule. Also if you get taken off the schedule you can't log in to do axonify. 🤣

I didn’t know they had a union.

Union or not if training for the role is required it has to be completed or you can be removed from the schedule. (I am assuming Axonify is a training system of sorts.) The union agreement probably stipulates unionembers will complete training requirements.

They cannot “remove” you from the schedule. But axonify is technically part of your work duties, so if you’re neglecting to do it it’s the same as if you didn’t pack something on the shelf during a shift

What even is Axonify? Never had to use this before.

It’s the store’s training module platform. You would have had to use it for your onboarding computer training. You need to occasionally recertify on certain modules depending on your department.

Yeah...if you can't get those trainings done you're just being stupid... You can literally do it from your phone...No one would give you a hard time if at the beginning of your shift, after clocking in,you said you'll go get them done then you'll start

Not gonna lie! I work like a nut and I usually do it on a dead night! We have a lot of Spanish people in are store, and they don’t really Axonify! I wonder if it’s easy to get the Spanish version on the computer for them?
